About The Authors

James M. Wicks is a partner at Farrell Fritz, concentrating in business and commercial litigation. Mr. Wicks represents large and small businesses, financial institutions and individuals in federal and state trial courts, as well in arbitrations and mediations, involving a variety of commercial, technology, real estate, insurance, contracts, banking issues, business torts, franchise litigation, corporate governance and derivative and class actions. Mr. Wicks also counsels and litigates issues involving attorneys and ethics.

Mr. Wicks was named a Super Lawyer (Business Litigation) in the 2008 Metro Edition of New York Super Lawyers® Magazine. Super Lawyers is a listing of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only five percent of New York lawyers are named to Super Lawyers. He was also recognized in the 2009 Super Lawyers® - Corporate Counsel Edition as one of the “Top Attorneys in Business Litigation”. Mr. Wicks is also a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee.

Mr. Wicks received his Juris Doctor from St. John's University in 1989 and his Bachelor of Arts from Wheeling College in 1983.

Matthew D. Donovan is an associate in Farrell Fritz's commercial litigation department. His practice involves the resolution of complex business disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, construction disputes, insurance-coverage disputes, and a variety of other commercial matters through litigation and arbitration.

Mr. Donovan earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2004 from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, a Master of Arts in theology from Boston College in 1998, and a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science from Marquette University in 1996.

Hillary A. Frommer is counsel in the firm’s commercial litigation department. She represents large and small businesses, financial institutions, and individuals in federal and state trial courts as well as in arbitrations in litigations involving complex business disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, employment and other commercial matters. Ms. Frommer also has extensive trial experience.

Ms. Frommer earned her Juris Doctor degree, with Honors, in 1998 from Chicago-Kent College of Law and in 1995, she received her B.A., cum laude in Anthropology, from Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences.

Aaron E. Zerykier is an associate in Farrell Fritz’s Litigation Department. Mr. Zerykier represents large and small businesses, public entities, financial institutions and individuals in federal and state trial courts, as well as in arbitrations. These matters involve a variety of commercial, technology, real estate, insurance, contracts and business tort litigations.

Mr. Zerykier received his J. D. in 2002 from Fordham University School of Law. He earned his B.A., cum laude, in 1999 from Yeshiva University, where he majored in Psychology and minored in Business.
